Soft washing is a method which chemically treats algae and moss infected surfaces, treating the problem at the source, and in turn preventing regrowth of the plant grime.  When soft washing, a chemical solution is sprayed onto the surface of your home, with a heavier concentration for heavier soiled areas.  The solution is allowed to sit for a few minutes, allowing time to kill the organic growth, and is then washed away with a gentle low pressure water sprayer.  An experienced soft washer will use extra caution when applying chemicals to your home, never allowing them to dry completely before rinsing, and thoroughly watering grass and planting beds around the treated area, before and after, to prevent damage.  This low pressure wash, is a good choice for a variety of homes, and will keep your exterior looking great, longer.  
 
Pressure washing or power washing uses a higher-pressure water sprayer to blast away dirt, mold, dust and other grime. This method works best for hard surfaces like concrete, brick walls, stucco, and steel.  It is also used to remove loose paint  and refresh wood surfaces.  If washing your exterior siding, great care should be used not to blast water up and behind the siding.
